Cate Heaman is a proud CEO and founder of Prelude Solutions, a woman-owned telecommunications company. As CEO, Cate leads with purpose, courage, humility, humor, and character while bringing 24 years of telecommunications experience. Cate has been a direct owner/partner of businesses in the Philadelphia region since July 2005, when she founded her first telecom auditing and consulting business as an Avaya Platinum Partner and ShoreTel Silver partner. Cate has many years as planning expert and proven expertise in Avaya/Cisco and Microsoft Products. Cate sold off the hardware and software portion of that business in late 2016 and started Prelude Solutions purely because she wanted to be a woman-owned business. Cate believes in instilling confidence in the eco-system of her team, partners, and clients to achieve high performance and growth for all.  As a woman-owned leader, Cate celebrates and advocates for the power of individual differences, diversity and inclusion, and racial equality for all.  She has a passion for networking and gives her time and talents to advocate for a range of nonprofits, to support Philadelphia institutions, and to help coach recent college graduates.    


Cate has won industry and nonprofit recognition, including: Chairwoman of Legacy 2017, Future 50 Smart CEO - 2014 and 2015, PhillyMan Magazine: Woman of the Year 2015, Avaya Platinum Partnership Award 2015, The Philadelphia 100 fasted growing companies from 2009 –2014 for CSG Global, Mass Mutual Citizens Award 2012, Best Places to Work 2015, Brava Awards for top female CEOs 2011 and Hall of Fame Brava Award in 2014, the Rising Star Award from Telarus 2019 and The Philadelphia 100 in 2020 and 2021 for Prelude Solutions.
